Boise Bicycle Accident leads to change on Idaho’s driving test
You can expect at least one question -- maybe more -- on Idaho driving laws about bicycles on your driving test beginning in the next few weeks.
The Idaho Department of Transportation has added more questions to the pool after five-year-old Max Wyatt, of Boise, was struck by a car and dragged last September. He came home from the hospital earlier this month.
"I think it is fair to say this tragedy kind of opened the discussion," said Steve Grant, an ITD spokesman.
Questions about car and bicycle laws have always been a part of the driving test, but it was possible to get a test that did not have a question on it, Grant said. Now, people taking the written test can expect to see one.
The change will happen in the next few weeks.
