Improv Alley Cat Charity Ride

Hello friends, near and far! This is an alley cat-style bike race to raise some money for the Autism Connection of PA, my chosen charity as I Run for a Reason at the marathon this year. This is a cause close to my heart as my 10 year old nephew is managing ASD, as well as other close friends and family with varying degrees of independence. Autism Connection of PA provides support and resources to families with children who have ASD to give them every opportunity for success. (http://autism-support.org/) To honor April Fool's Day with this, the first weekend in April, there will be jokes and games a-plenty. You may be asked to act out a scenario on-the-spot with your fellow cyclists - think Whose Line Is It Anyway? style. Your $10 entry fee will include raffle tickets for prize baskets and the chance to win some sweet merch based on Top Finishers, DFL, Most Unique Ride, Best and Worst Knock-Knock Jokes, and other random categories TBD. Hit all the checkpoints as fast as you can to be competitive, or just a few for a more relaxed, family-friendly ride. Begins and ends at OTB Bicycle Cafe in Southside. TIME: Saturday, April 4 Registration begins at 12:30pm Race start 1pm Cut-off time 3:30pm Awards begin 4pm SPONSORS: (added as confirmed) Fiks:Reflective Banker Supply Sayle Bicycle Service ***I'll be needing volunteers, too, between registration and the check points, so if you want to spend a few hours goofing off on a Saturday afternoon, get at me!*** If you choose not to ride but still want to donate, see my crowdrise page https://www.crowdrise.com/autismconnectionpittsburgh2015/fundraiser/annesobol

Sounds cool! I assume you intend the race to be on April 4th? or is that part of the April-fools shenanigans... Also, I'm not sure who runs the page, but you may want to post here too http://pghalleycat.com/news/

Yes, the 4th! Thanks for catching that. I'll share on that other site, too :) It's a public event on Facebook, so you should be able to find it by searching Improv Alley Cat or just look up upcoming events in April.
