KDKA bike-lash story to air tonight

I saw a promo on KDKA for a story tonight that seems very-anti bike lane. They were showing the cycle-track on Saline street. Edit: wrong article link. but the promo was definitely seen today

If a full lane is too narrow, you need to slow the fuck down. There's a stop sign and a stop light on both ends of that stretch that you need to stop for anyways. I used to live in Greenfield and never felt the road was too narrow even without the bike lanes and that's with me on a bike and cars safely passing me. If commuters parking is a problem, have restricted parking with neighborhood stickers. Furthermore, if you have problems with commuters parking, take it up with them. If you're annoyed that you're paying taxes for them parking on your street, other city of Pittsburgh residents aren't paying their taxes so they can park a block down the road. Also, tell that reporter to get the fuck off the bike lane. A cyclist clearly has to veer out of his way into traffic. There's a sidewalk he could stand on three feet away.

I watched from 6-6:45 and only saw what looked like an 11PM teaser about a church possibly complaining about a bike lane near it. Naturally, it was vague.

Watched it at 11. Meh. Andy Sheehan is kind of a douche, but he's no Marty Griffin. The big WTF? for me was when he asked the Witch Doctor/Priest "shouldn't the churches have been involved from the beginning?". Huh? Is there some section in the book of Romans that deals with infrastructure? Why should churches get any more consultation than any other person or institution. Ok, so running the bike lane past the front door of the church at the end of the fat part of Smallman was prob a mis-step, especially since there are numerous other options, but it seems like that has been adjusted. Interviewed some random guy from The Run, his main point seemed to be that the bike lanes just "showed up". Ok. Whatevs. Basically a lame attempt at ratings-bait.

They should be happy that cyclists aren't another vehicle in their way when they sit in traffic.
