I must have lived 2 blocks from Kraynicks for over 6 months before I realized that it was not an abandoned building. Definitely due for a face-lift.
Kraynicks getting a new paintjob and a documentary

Painting in September thanks to Most Wanted Fine Art and a Fresh Paint Days Pennsylvania grant.
I'm hoping they do a little more than just paint it. That fascia needs structural attention.
Based on the most wanted art car paint job I think they are probably just going to throw cans of paint all over the front of it.
Maybe they can give Gerry's truck a matching Most Wanted paint job.
The first time I was in Kraynicks I was 9 years old now I'm 36, even back then it looked like an abandoned building.
I thought it was a finely honed and carefully maintained ambience, like those jeans that people pay hundreds of dollars for that look like they're falling apart and stained. Only better, 'cause it's Kraynicks and awesome and real.

+1
Yeah, ideally they would do some wood prep. The former Thomas Merton Center building didn't though, and it looks like their paint is still holding up
