M-shaped keys are usually from Magnum Industries locks, including OnGuard locks. My OnGuard came with 5 keys, so hopefully whoever lost it is fine.

lose a key?
While riding towards Oakland on the Panther Hollow Trail after work today (Wednesdays) I found a single key. Black plastic "M" shape handle, key was metal, possibly from a bike lock?
I left it on the east side of the trail where there is a patch across the asphalt just south of the Blvd of the Allies bridge. Not sure what else I could do. If it's yours, you know where to look unless someone else took it.

As of this morning it was still there. Are those padlocks? Could it go to the gates at either end of the trail?
