Mass Transit meets Bicycle meets Community Outreach
in the Busycle: http://www.busycle.com/about.html
This was mentioned in a MAKE fair in 2008, but I thought it would blend nicely with some of the PAT/getting people on bikes discussions of late.
They look pretty dormant right now (4 years out from their tour), but it still looks cool. Anybody manage to catch this on its tour?
I would think that a faired multi-rider trike with low frontal area could really haul. That behemoth probably has a top speed of about 6mph if everyone is really working. I mean, it's got the stock diff on there, doesn't it? But it's got toe clips on the pedals, so maybe...
Oh hey! A traveling spin class!
If you could get everyone to shave their legs and into lycra (and TT helmets!), you could make 7MPH easy.
ALMKLM - you made me have to explain myself to my coworkers, who couldn't help but hear my howling and tears.
