What size is it, I'm looking for an inexpensive bike for my wife, she's 5' 6".
Mongoose Cachet Walmart Singlespeed - $50
Mongoose Cachet singlespeed bike. I bought this from Walmart for $150 for review, now it's time to go. It is what it is.
$50.

Sold to the first bidder this morning.
Do good of a deal for it to sit. Oh well, the search continues.
I wonder how many of these are destined for the landfill in 18 to 36 months. What breaks on these low-end bikes that cannot be fixed?
If I was to pull one out of the obviously-set-out-for-the-trash and drag it home, what am I getting into? Let's say the minimal brakes caused a kid to crash or almost crash and so they tossed it.
Would it be worth dropping $30 on a decent set of cantilever brakes? Or are they so bad that FreeRide would even reject the frame?

I assume you've all read this.
Well, I survived the Zodicat riding this thing, We'll see how long she lasts...
The seat clamp couldn't be tightened enough to actually prevent the seat from moving. I managed to bust it right before the ride and had to sneak up to biketek to get a replacement.
Other than that and the weak braking, it has been behaving fine.
