Cool story!
+1 on this link, and you should definitley listen to the whole story, rather than just read the summary. There's a bunch of stuff (assuming it's the story I heard last night) about how D.C. is taking steps to be more bike friendly. It's really a very good piece. (The national network of bike trails thing--first link above.)
while on radio shows, scott introduced me to my new favorite radio show. its the best ever, radiolab.
This episode on "Limits", interviews some of the riders who race the Race Across America, or RAAM. I was really hoping they'd interview Danny Chew, but they don't. but they do interview some other dudes which really gives you a perspective on what it's like to ride that monster of a race. totally worth listening to. i also recommend the parasites episode

I love RadioLab! The format is what makes it so good.
that radio lab episode was so great! i love love love radiolab.
When I think about a national network of bike trails, I think about how much sense it would make for the first coast-to-coast to come through our neighborhood.
Then I get angry at Sadcastle
"angry at Sadcastle"
