Seat post or saddle? Either way, time to invest in better versions of the above. For a seatpost binder bolt/clamp, upgrade to a Salsa liplock or a Thomson. They both screw into a steel barrel nut instead of threading into aluminum. For the saddle clamp, upgrade the seatpost to a Thomson or something with two bolts that thread into a barrel-nut. Avoid anything with a single bolt. While the Thomson is the most expensive, I've seen cheaper ones made by other big brands (Richey and FSA, IIRC). Origin-8 makes a quality seatpost (same style as the Thomson) for cheap (with a weight penalty). https://www.google.com/search?q=origin+8+sport+lite+seat+post&pws=0#pws=0&q=origin8+sport+lite+seatpost&spell=1&tbm=shop The Bontrager posts are crap, I've had one fail on me too. Oh, and don't tighten the bolt so damned hard next time... :P

A recurring nightmare of mine when I started riding and learned how the quick adjust/release mechanism on the seatpost worked. Tightened that thing down something ridiculous...

You'll like it. Not only does it distribute the load a bit, but it makes the saddle way more adjustable. It's great for dialing in the best angle.

Stand up over bumpy road. I had a rail on a saddle break off last summer. I was about a mile and a half from work, going downhill fixed and had to stand up out of the saddle. I was upset and thought my weight was the cause but it was probably from sitting too much over rough road.
