I'm looking at a similar bike - Scott Sub 10. It's an 8 speed with belt drive.

i considered the sub 10 as well. I am doing the DC to pitt trip on this bike and one of the things i thought of ws is the chain snaps i can fix it, belt snaps ive got a long way to walk. other than that they seem to be pretty similar bikes
