There will be costumed bikes as part of the First Night Parade. There was some communication about it on facebook...I'll PM you the details. Sadly, I have other plans that night, but hope to see yinz @ Icycle Bicycle.
New years eve ride?
I sorta remember there being a Flock-of-cycles event for First Night, but their web page is stale. Anyone riding in? and what’s been planned?
Marko, there is a flying creature themed parade tomorrow. I believe there was a [short] thread about it a while back.
If pseudacris doesn't get the details to you, call me.
I would love to do this, but I am nervous about being in traffic before and after this.. I really do not want to drive my bike down there. I have never ridden on NYE. Is traffic heavy and/or extra dangerous, do you think?
If that's the concern, stef, that's a good use of $3.25 ($2.25 to get down there, the transfer to get back) and put the bike rack to good use.
I can understand not wanting to deal with four miles of Negley and Penn, so let someone else deal with that. Even on a Saturday schedule, there are plenty of 71As. They run about every half hour. Can you make it over to/from Negley?
Link to 71A Saturday inbound schedule here.
The 87 might be closer to you to get into town; schedule here, but no later evening service to get you home.
Hacker trick: Change the "I" to an "O" at the end of the URL to get the outbound schedule.
Stef, that's understandable. I am really not looking to riding the tall bike down there, but it's kind of the only option--I don't think a bus driver would be very happy with me trying to rack and roll.
If buses don't work for folks, there's always the park n ride at the head of the Jail Trail.
Thanks for the suggestions. I may be passed out by 8 anyway ha. We'll see. Weather looks good
You know you are old when you are asleep at 8pm on New Years Eve.
Or have a parasite. Though I do need some prune juice. I can't wait until you're 30, nick! Only 20 more years until you are.
By the time I'm 30, I will mostly likely be dead or completely burnt out. Even at 24, I've probably worked the equivalent hours of the average 30+ year old.
