My kid's got an activity tomorrow at Boyce Park but I was hoping to get about 20 road miles in while he's doing it. The only bike facilities I see looking at maps of Boyce online are MTB trails and I'm not a mountain biker. Any suggestions for stuff real near there? I've only got two hours or so to ride. Are the roads near Boyce reasonably safe to ride on? (I haven't been by there since before I started riding).
Old Frankstown Road is nice between Center Road and Golden Mile Highway. Cooper Road to CCAC is safe but hilly. Old William Penn Highway is nice east of Murrysville (to Delmont at least), but to get there from Boyce Park isn't as pleasant (via Logan Ferry Road anyway). Not horrible though.
