Ohio River Trail update (and radio moment)
Nice update document from the Ohio River Trail: http://goo.gl/rRwAZS Explains the route from Montour Junction (Montour MP0) through Coraopolis, to the Sewickley Bridge.
Continues to describe the route through Sewickley- Glen Osborne, Edgeworth, Leetsdale, Ambridge - then the Ambridge-Aliquippa Bridge, Hopewell, Aliquippa, where this phase terminates at the Beaver County Jail Trailhead.
Most of these segments are shared-road, although there's also protected bike lanes. Some route decisions are still being finalized.
Next Sunday I'm on KDKA Radio at 0630 Jan 18 along with John Orndorff. John is a veteran cyclist, the point person for the Sewickley-Ambridge segment, and also a member of Glen Osborne borough council.
We'll be discussing the Ohio River Trail, plans for 2015 and 2016, and the bicyclist fatalities along State Bike Route A.
Talking on the radio is something I've never been good at.
