OT: Camping is not intense. Its incabins! Anyone?
Looking for good cabin camping in western PA. Bonus points for lakeside and bike trails.
Is Weirton, WV close enough? Tomlinson Run has some nice cabins.
It's not camping unless it's intense!
Keystone has lakeside cabinds. No bike trails but plenty of dreamy country roads to ride on...

So does Moraine state park. Cabins are just off the bike path at about mile 3. North Shore beach is about 1/2 mile away. Roads in the park and surrounding area offer terrain that ranges from fairly flat/moderate grades to some challenging stuff.
Only thing is the cabins are limited in number and very popular. While I have never used them, I have the impression they are something you reserve early in the registration period or you won't get one.
If you have a bigger group, you could also check about the log cabin at the marina at the end of the bike trail. It will accomodate 15, maybe 20.
just stayed at Clear Creek in a creek-side yurt - highly recommend it. Had a covered porch, electricity, even a stove and a fridge. Wasn't really camping in my mind, but it was tons of fun. No pets, so next time we're headed to Ohiopyle with the pup (and I'm going to try to bike it, or at least take the bikes).
Not all yurts are created equal, I've seen ones in WV that I wouldn't tent near, let alone stay in. Good luck!
Cabin camping is not camping.
Do any of these cabins have A/C ?
++1 For Laurel Hill. Have tent-camped there a lot with the family. Immaculately maintained. Great location. Cabins.
