for $70, they better be frigging awesome... anybody ever light up their pedals? If so, how? Seems like an easy way to identify the object as "bicycle", a good thing in addition to simply "object here".

I put a pair of those on my winter bike last year. I really like them, and they seem good and solid.
A few years before, I'd put a much cheaper pair on my bike, and wore both them and the warranty replacement pair out over a couple months.

(fyi, I pulled the trigger, bought & installed them - I get better treatment at night for some reason, maybe it's seasonal, but people give me more room. they sometimes flip upside down or stay wrong way 'round), but with ok soles on shoes they right themselves easily... also they were only around $50 from the LBS - same darn things, just cheaper at DH's)
