Pedestrian Improvements App

Met the creator of a new app geared toward identifying and improving pedestrian infrastructure. If anyone's interested, the info is at www.pathvu.com and the app is "CrowdVu". Maybe not so relevant to biking, but I think a lot of our folks do a fair share of walking too. He states the goal is to "improve accessibility, walkability and safety along sidewalks and pedestrian pathways". I mentioned the 311 system for hazards and he said he's working to integrate that with this app.

I'm sure that they would be interested in knowing about all the drain grates that line up with street crossings. Think wheelchairs, grocery buggies, 7-year-olds on a bike riding next to mom walking down the sidewalk, etc. If this app plays nicely with an iPhone, I can feed it all manner of data.
