I've always thought they were interesting. They are everywhere in Pittsburgh. I look forward to to seeing the photo essay. I used to be able to see one out my window but it was covered by newer construction.

Pittsburgh Palimpsests is a photographic essay documenting early- to mid-20th century advertising signage painted (Ghost Signs) on exterior walls throughout the Pittsburgh region.
Description:
We need YOUR help to locate these signs. Start looking around, you'll be suprised at how many you will find. When you get a chance, update our interactive ghost sign map with your new findings!
