nice color coordination ian!
Pittsburgh vs Cleveland
Cleveland's Pop City wrote about our bike scene as an inspiration to the rust belt.

city of champions!
The difference is Bike Pittsburgh. Thanks guys!
PS, where were the last four photos taken? Is that even in PGH?
i don't know. could be clevo. they have a real nice trail by the lake. i was real impressed with the entrance way to it - very well signed to, and a beautiful mural thru a tunnel that you had to ride to. made for a great sense of place, like you arrived somewhere awesome.
I had never looked at those lists before.
What do we need to do to get to silver status?
a lot. it's a huge jump. and honestly, we got the bronze in part due to how much fun stuff there is to do on a bike here thanks to y'all and the bike trails, but also on the things that the city has planned to do involving bikes. Which is significant, but it has a long way to go.
btw, i like how the article says:
"What Pittsburgh has that Cleveland wants" followed by a picture of Ian
That's two, Erok! You're gonna make me blush.
Last time I was in Cleveland, I was jealous of the comparative dearth of potholes.
One of the presentations at TranspoCamp East a couple of weeks ago was about how NYC is using GIS technology to keep track of pothole repairs, and keeping the public informed about those repairs.

i suppose that's one of the positive sides of your streets being empty
with that said, i hate our potholes
I think maybe when they stopped running streetcars, they actually removed the rails.
that would help. but, hey, when our street cars come back, we're set! uhhhh
Cleveland vs. Pittsburgh, mebbe. but it should always either be Pittsburgh vs. Portland, Pittsburgh vs. Frisco or Pittsburgh vs. Savannah - Go Sand Gnats!
i suppose that's one of the positive sides of your streets being empty
four-lane bikepaths!!!
How do we know Ian isn't a spy from Cleveland?
I think me or Noah would be more likely for that. In the picture from thread about the free trek, I have a browns blanket stuffed in the closet with that bike.
If you haven't seen the youtube "hastily made cleveland tourism video", you should.
There's a certain feeling of, err, lack of pretentiousness, which is at least familiar.
I've seen them, they're good.
That's how I feel about cleveland when I"m not at the West Side Market.
that hastily made cleveland tourism video is about as cutting edge as johnny carson burning river jokes...
yes i am defensive of my home turf...
Cleveland has a lot of things I wish we had. Melt, Great Lakes Brewing Company, shows for bands I actually want to see. I am also a Browns fan and would take Cedar Point over Kennywood.
everything you just said, especially re: music. pittsburgh's music scene is pitiful compared to cleveland
Rays. I want rays.
according to googlefight.com,
"Pittsburgh sucks" yields 148,000 results to "Clevland sucks" at 217,000
Meanwhile, "Pittsburgh rocks" at 317,000 results somehow still beats "Cleveland rocks" at 308,000 despite the bump from the Drew Carey show
burning river 40 years ago > burning groundwater today
ouch
DId Noah just achieve Troll status?
i got no comeback to that one noah
nah. erok stirred that pot up...
i'll ban myself
nah. hey we have yet to hit the cider place on 39th, btw. let's get on that as the weather improves
yes! i am ready
Cider? I suppose it would be too much to hope for cidre.
