(previously known as 'Flock of Cycles”) has been conducting open-to-all, slow-paced (sometimes silly), friendly social rides from Oakland into the rest of Pittsburgh, where we want to provide safe, comfortable, welcoming rides to encourage people to get out on their bikes and rediscover the fun of cycling we knew as youngsters. 412 Flock! has always carried an insurance policy and has a safety program. The cost of insurance is our greatest operating expense at approximately $1500/year. Right now we have $500, which we earned because our volunteers provide marshalling services for groups wanting to have bike rides. We have a big bill due on Aug.7th. We need to raise $500 in three weeks, and another $500 by the end of the year.
