NOTICE OF PUBLIC PLANS DISPLAY SR 0400, SECTION A38, RECONSTRUCTION CITY OF PITTSBURGH, ALLEGHENY COUNTY, PA The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, Engineering District 11-0, invites you to attend a public display of plans for the reconstruction of SR 0400, Section A38, Baum Boulevard between Finland Street and Morewood Avenue. The project, located in the City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, PA, includes full depth reconstruction from the Eastbound off-ramp to Bloomfield Bridge to the Baum Avenue Bridge over the PAT Busway, reconstruction of the bridge deck and mill and overlay of Baum Boulevard from the bridge to Morewood Avenue. It also includes reconstruction of ADA sidewalk ramps and traffic signal upgrades within the project limits and reconstruction of the pavement of the underpass ramp to Bloomfield Bridge. The purpose of the meeting is to present the construction schedule and traffic patterns during construction. In keeping with Federal, State, and local policies concerning public participation in planning and developing transportation projects, the public is encouraged to attend this public meeting. LOCATION: COURTYARD MARRIOT 5308 LIBERTY AVENUE PITTSBURGH, PA 15224 DATE: TUESDAY, JUNE 23, 2015 TIME: 7:00 P.M. TO 9:00 P.M. In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA), the meeting has been scheduled at a facility that is accessible to individuals who have disabilities.

...this was nearly a year ago. (in fact, the project is nearly complete--they're in phase two now, rebuilding the Baum Blvd Bridge and section between Gold and Melwood.)

This is a tricky block. Pitt closes it numerous times a year for various sorts of events (many of which, it would appear to an outside observer, could equally be held on a lawn instead of by closing a street). I plan to attend the meeting. I have a feeling that a substantial turnout of cyclists will improve the chances of getting this connection.
