I'll break out my cruiser for this ride!
Rat Rod Bike Ride
Me and a couple people I just met on another site(www.ratrodbikes.com) are planning on an informal Rat Rod Bike ride on June, 27. We plan on meeting at the 18th St. park and ride the south side trail loop. Time is TBA. So if you have a rat rod, classic, cruiser, chopper, lowrider, custom build bike... etc... come on down and take a cruise with us.

I wonder if the blood bike qualifies for this ride...?
keep us informed, i'd be happy to post it on the cycling events calendar and even on the blog.
also, keep these kinds of events in mind for BikeFest in August!
Oh my, the gallery on the Rat Rod Bikes website is a massive time sink. So many nice rides....
i like this one of the guy pulling the airstream
I sure hope he has one hell of a internally-geared hub on the back of that bike, because the external gearing situation doesn't look real "pull an airstream"-friendly.
I wanna know how he stops.
well, upon further inspection, i think that airstream is actually a hovercraft, so he should have no trouble stopping
That dude must be Chuck Norris's dad.
@ ndromb, sure bring your tall bike, its a great build.
@ erok, thanks, its nothing formal just a little get together this time BUT thats a great idea to make this ride an event for bike fest. Thanks again.
There are ALOT of great bike builders on rat rods site. I have not noticed much of a rat rod bike scene here in the burgh but hopfully the more people are out and about the bigger it will become.
talk about a time sink!!!! I cruised on over just to find out what a rat rod was and ended spending an hour looking at the builds.
Very Cool!!
Makes me want to spend even more time ripping bikes apart.

@ erok Nah, its got wheels. Plus, even without wheels, it still has momentum
Also looks like it MIGHT have external gears?
(Turned brightness all the way up and inverted)
All that and the guy forgot to bring patches
June 27, Southside Riverfront Park,1pm.
Bring your rat rod, classic cruiser, chopper, custom build, etc...
We plan on riding the southside loop, maybe stop at a local watering hole for a cold one.
Come join us for some rat rod fun!!!
I wish I could have made it--I was stuck at work.
It was a fun ride. Those old cruisers are pretty amazing, and the trails in town provide a great place to take the old things out for a roll.
Sadly there were no crazy customs, though. These guys would have dug the tall bike. If anybody knows anyone with ratbikes, choppers, frankenbikes, etc. they should definitely keep their eyes peeled for the next one.
Oh, Doug, thanks for the test ride on the Electra, that ride is cool too.
