It's fine for some, depends on what you're looking for. For what it is, a cheap steel track frame, it's just fine.
Anybody have any experience with these bikes?
Looking for overall comments on quality of the framesets.

The frame is made of lower-quality steel than other bikes available for a similar price, and the top tubes are all the same length, so none of the frames will fit anyone of anything other than average height that well.
They basically achieve their aesthetic at that price by cutting corners on bike quality. Other mail-order bikes at the same price are often bit uglier but better overall bikes.
I know someone with one. He hasn't complained about it yet.
are these the ones they sell at urban outfitters?
Nice - I certainly can appreciate the beer comparison. I'm not looking to race it or anything. I just want a good fitting simple bike to knock around on without dropping big cash. And at 6'4", it sounds like this may not be for me.
Yes, they are the ones at UO. Perhaps a test ride is in order.
Thanks everyone!

which I thought was good quality, no?
Regarding beer, I had a try at the Harvest Ale yesterday, and think I ought to bring a growler over to get more.
If you're 6'4" it probably won't fit you right, since they all have 54cm top tubes, and that probably best fits someone around 5'10".
This company has big bikes for similar prices: http://www.bikesdirect.com/products/trackbikes.htm They're usually ugly though, and the claimed MSRPs and sale prices they talk about is all just marketing. Still, the bikes are reputed to be solid enough for prices.
