Ride The Divide mountain bike film coming to Pittsburgh Feb. 3
This mountain bike documentary that was named the best adventure film at the 2010 Vail Film Festival. If you are not familiar with our film, please check out our trailer at www.ridethedividemovie.com.
We are coming to Pittsburgh for a one-night-only show on Thursday, Feb. 3 at the Southside Works Cinema. This is the final stop on a 10-day, 10-city Midwest tour that is part of our larger nationwide tour. We have been selling out theaters all over the country and anticipate we will sell out the Southside's 267 seats on this night as well.
Here is the link to our Facebook event which has all the information in it as well: http://www.facebook.com/#!/event.php?eid=190087151007312
glad to see there is at least one female in this film (watch the trailer for "Mary--the only woman")
I feel like every adventure film i have seen in the past year or two is all men and boys. it was my biggest gripe about the BANFF mountain film fest--two days of short films and you can't show any more with women in them!? I know there are badass women out there doing adventurous stuff.
anyway. /rant
Caitlin...I love seeing badass women out there(besides the obvious reasons...haha), including all of you badass women that ride here in the burgh.
Mary was more badass than me long before she even signed up for that race I'm sure...hahahaha
Sounds like a ride-to/OTB night to me.
+1 edmonds59 I'm in, I think I can handle the ride from the cinema to OTB...haha
i definitely want to go see this and follow it up with eating a huge burger at otb.
OH YEAH!! The Dirt Rag Delight(I think thats the name) is my fav. Who knew pj & j would be so good on a burger.
+1 Dirt Rag burger. That be damfine eating there.
Midwest tour? Really?
I had lunch with my in-laws today, and drank coffee out of a mug that proudly declared Pittsburgh as the "Gateway to the Midwest."
When people say Pennsylvania is Midwest I always ask people to point out Philadelphia on the map for me. And then Topeka.
Pittsburgh is kind of in limbo though. Not quite the south. Not quite the north east. Not quite east coast. Not quite rust belt. Not quite Midwest. SW PA is kind of it's own little region that doesn't quite fit in anywhere. I like that about it.
Middle East.
The line between the East Coast and the mid west is the railroad tracks that run between CMU (east coast) and Pitt.
Psueda and Mick, a one-two punch, hilarious!

I read somewhere that the divide between the Midwest/South and the West ran right down the center of DFW Airport. This is a much better image for a boundary.
Not for nothing is it called Boundary Street down there.
Who all is coming??
I'm going to wait until after icemaggedon to say for sure
I'll be out of town....hopefully.
Is seeing the movie worth 1/50 the cost of
actually riding the divide? decisions.
haha. word on the street is this may sell out.
i cant tell if that's a joke.. because i've been hearing that as well... in all of the emails sent out by the guy... since he first called the shop in december...
