outbound or inbound? wearing orange or yellow jacket?
Rider on W Carson, Monday
Whoever was riding outbound on west Carson Monday, at rush hour, in the dark, at 25 deg F, that is Badass, big props. I was in the comfortable bus. My only comment is, the flashing back blinky and headlight were good, but you might want to add a 2nd or even 3rd rear blinky, on steady, in those conditions. I felt a gut twinge of concern for you as we passed, that one blinky is pretty slim protection. But good for you.
He or she was probably coming to join us at OTB for $5 (+$0.99 french fries surcharge) burger night.
Outbound, 6:00pm+-, yellow jacket I think, with a square Timbuktu style backpack, between WEC and Corliss tunnel.
I pass him in the morning heading in the opposite direction, but I never see him in the afternoon. I don't know who he is, but we wave - cordial. I saw him again this morning.
Monday afternoon, I passed a motor officer at the bottom of the inbound ramp off the circle. Crazy guy was trying to make a left...
Please folks, make sure the drivers can see you. I'm very aware of bikes when I'm driving and a lot of riders are very hard to see. Please be careful out there.
+1 burgoofj
I think I learn some of the most valuable tips from cyclists when I'm in a car and I can't see them or they do something I don't like. Then I think "wait... I only have one blinkie, maybe I should consider a second"
