And the dates are set:
8 March @ 7:00PM - The Road to Roubaix
22 March @ 7:00PM - A Sunday in Hell
Morning Glory Coffeehouse, Morningside
The wheels are in motion. Morning Glory Coffeeshop in Morningside will screen both these (probably on different nights) sometime in the middle of March. I'll post the dates once we work them out.

Nice.
I made the offer to bring in some beer for one of these (don't know if I can make both - Roubaix, for sure), any idea if Morning Glory is going to be cool with that?
Bump.
First one is next Monday.
@edmonds59: I know MoGlo does allow BYOB for music shows, but I'm not sure about movie night. Eric? Do you know?
Are these on a screen of some kind or just a big TV or....
Screen via a projector, with audio via the sound system in the cafe. Pretty sweet setup.
Excellent. Monday nights are tough but we'll see...
As long as you share with the owner, I would think beer would be just fine.
I was thinking, since this is a different thread, that we should describe the films again.
Road to Roubaix is a recent film about the Queen of the Classics Paris-Roubaix. Sunday in Hell is a classic film about the 1976 version of the race which features absolute legends of cycling: Eddy Merckx, Roger DeVlaeminick, Franceso Moser etc.
Road to Roubaix trailer.
I was just out on you-tube to find the trailer and stumbled on a great old clip from the '74 Giro. Race'n has come a long way.
If these screenings are popular enough to continue, I also have a copy of "Stars and Watercarriers," about the '73 Giro.
Now on our calendar of events. Sorry for the delay.
Bump.
See y'all there.
I'm going to ride over if anyone wants to join up. Mt Lebo to Dahntahn then Butler to Stanton.
A big thanks to Brian and Morning Glory for this. More than a dozen people (which feels like a huge crowd in that place!) and a wonderful venue. I enjoyed watching it more than I did the first time.
Yeah, thanks, whoever, for setting that up. Good movie, unbelievable race.
Thanks to everyone who came out. The coffee shop was packed!
Watching that on the big screen made me miss racing.
I didn't want this to fall too far down. Also, I found out they take Paypal. I think I might have more Paypal money than real money!
Thanks! I was planning on bumping this, too.
does morning glory seriously take paypal?
i am going to buy a doughnut with paypal ASAP
Bump.
A Sunday in Hell, Monday night, 7:00 PM-ish, Morning Glory Coffee in Morningside.
Hey ho! New time for Monday: 7:30 PM (this is basically when the flick started last time anyway). Spread the word!
