The next ride will be an overnight 200k
September 8th 9pm Meanville Greenville
Bill Huber created this route, and here is his description:
"Starting with moderate climbing while traversing the Connoquenessing and Slippery Rock Creek valleys, this rural loop into western PA countryside becomes mellower as it heads northward".
This ride does feel pretty mellow compared to the other routes. And it's beautiful. They're already low traffic roads, so it will be even better at night. If this were a daytime ride, we'd have a cute little coffee shop in New Wilmington as our first control. But it won't be open, and there's nothing else around, so bring extra water and snacks because the first control is about 60 miles in. It's a Sheetz, and so is the next control. We'll end at Country Kitchen on Main St in Zelienople for breakfast.
The weekend after that, September 16, will be a gentle 100k (in daylight). Time is TBD
