Shared use path--Bigelow Blvd. Blvd of the Allies

Did anyone hear about a thing I found on an ArcGIS map about Bigelow Blvd west of thr Bloomfield Bridge and a shared use path? Here is a link to the map: https://www.arcgis.com/home/webmap/viewer.html?webmap=3e8c4bfac2a14932b95902a479839f18&extent=-80.0287,40.4262,-79.9596,40.4761

This is from the city's move pgh program from 2013. Suggestions, brainstorming, etc of how transportation can be improved over the next 25 years. This isn't a master plan for road changes.  Just a compendium of suggestions which are "computer graded." Then there has to be political will plus money to do any of these projects. Not sure this map is used any more at this point. And I'm sure they can do projects not on the map.  It is seemingly just a big suggestion box for the city.   http://www.pittsburghpa.gov/dcp/article.htm?id=2013

I would love a shared path on either of these.   Even a sidewalk would be great thing.  I go from the east end of the BLVD of the Allies to Mercy Hosptial every work day and it would spare me time, effort, aggravation and danger to have a direct designated bike route.

So I might be over 50 by the time that happens, if it does happen? I just turned 26 last Saturday.

There already is a sidewalk the length of Bigelow, on the south/west side from Craig to Bloomfield Bridge, and on the north side west of the Bridge.  It's not well maintained, but the bigger problem is that it suddenly ends just short of the bridge across the Crosstown into Downtown.... Given the existence of other routes, I'm not optimistic that the City will be putting much effort into hanging a sidewalk off a bridge that doesn't already have one, or tearing out part of the hillside overhanging Bigelow from the south in order to make room for another sidewalk on the outbound side of the road.  Given the existence of both other routes and much greater needs, I'm not convinced the City should, either.

@buffalo:  Is there any time when the section of Bigelow Blvd. East/South Bound between the bridge and Craig St. is safe? Can the Bloomfield Bridge be accessed from Beethoven St. in Polish Hill. See my video about speeding cars as I stake out the intersection of Bigelow Blvd. and Finland St. in Polish Hill. Maybe, I should talk to the Polish Hill Civic Association about speeding on Bigelow Blvd. between Craig St. and Herron Ave. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K28mLNMU794   Edit: I just checked Google maps and found this. I guess Bethoven St. is not an option http://www.google.com/maps/@40.45932,-79.9576041,3a,75y,127.16h,91.82t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sOfJ5oSoFSBx8ez6uTBcDWQ!2e0!7i13312!8i6656

Bethoven street works great coming from the bridge sidewalk to polish hill. But actually, since Bicycle riding on sidewalks is permitted outside business districts, it should be acceptable to ride the sidewalk for the 1/2 block to connect up with the bridge sidewalk for a safer connection to bloomfield. Though, that sidewalk is narrow and you'll probably have to stop or dismount to safely allow pedestrians and / or other cyclists to pass.
