My initial reaction was...
Oh great I won't be able to unlock my bike if the battery dies on the lock OR my phone.
There are some cool things about it. But the pluses don't outweigh the negatives.

Sounds like just the thing for someone else to spend time, sweat and money to debug. Meanwhile, I'll just concentrate on trying to remember to take my U-lock key with me.
