Snitger funeral cycles through Beaver

Jim Snitger passed at 99 years old, and his family led the procession on bicycles. How cool! http://www.timesonline.com/news/local_news/snitger-funeral-cycles-through-beaver/image_54e4daed-6ca7-5555-a51e-a7d89f1d80bb.html?mode=nogs

Yes, gg, what a tremendous affirmation. I've seen police funerals, fireman funerals, military funerals etc but this integrates his life's work, his family, his town, his descendants - wow. I've participated in a burial at sea with full honors on a warship, and this is on par with that.

I am in Vietnam right now looking for 1940s /50s vintage French made bikes and just got this news about Jim.While I was collecting and looking for vintage bikes and parts years back I went to every bike shop.I met up with Jim and at that time he was old bike guy I was young and just learning ,he brought me to his home and I bought some vintage bike parts and other kool stuff that even today I still have and are at the Bicycle Heaven bike Museum.I think it was his son or son n law / family who just came by the Museum a few months back and they could not believe I had a bmx bike and race outfit with the Snitger name on it. Jim was very nice to me and I am glad I have a part of the Snitger history....rip Jim
