Was it locked to private property at the gas station? If so they may have clipped it and confiscated it. This has happened plenty of times downtown.

Stolen Black Schwinn! Help
I locked this at the Gulf Station on Liberty across from the Bloomfield Bridge about a week ago. Black 54cmish Schwinn continental frame with platform pedals. missing most of the black bar tape. Quick release wheels. From the early eighties. the name lindsey landowski( or something similar) is carved into the frame under the seat. Please keep your eyes open! my email is jwedgar@gmail.com
