Taylor Banks Memorial Ride 10/27
Taylor Banks, 21, was riding home from work to his mother's house Halloween night on Route 51, State Bicycle Route A, near Rochester, when he was killed by a drunk driver.
His family was devastated by his death, which is one of several in that stretch of Route 51. PennDOT has done nothing to protect cyclists there.
We've been organizing annual memorial rides for Taylor. The family has taken a lot of comfort from the support of the bike community.
The family and the Legend motorcycle riders are organizing a memorial ride, with police protection, at 2 pm on 10/27. The ride will start at a nearby lot in Monaca and end at the ghost bike, where there will be short prayer. I'll verify the exact location and post it once I have it.

Update on this. The ride will start at 1:50 pm 10/27 at Whiskey Rhythm, 1198 Pennsylvania Ave, Monaca PA. We'll ride with police escort to Taylor's Ghost Bike on Rt. 51 for a memorial service and then back to Whiskey Rhythm for a light lunch.
If you can come, please let me know here or through Facebook. Beth (Taylor's mom) needs a headcount (she's making food for the light lunch).
