Wow. That's pretty rad.
Thank you Troy Hill!
I want to give a shout out to a group of about 8 Troy Hill residents. I was on a dirty dozen training ride today and I hit Rialto around noon. When I got there, these awesome people were out on Rialto with push brooms and leaf blowers making sure the whole street was clear of debris. They said they were looking forward to watching next Saturday and that they were going to do a final clean up early Saturday morning. Thank you so much, and the cycling community really appreciates your support!
I was wondering if someone would clean that road up. That is so nice of them!!!!
Yeah, we saw them when we hit that hill last week too. They were planting trees to make it all look pretty.
kick ass. big ups to those folks who are obviously proud of their corner of pittsburgh!
When I watch the tour, I wish to myself that Americans would get as excited about cycling events as Europeans get. This gives me hope.
Troy Hill rules! They had a welcome station with water and home baked goodies during Pedal Pittsburgh, too.
Yeah come to think of it, they did! Right at the top of the hill. I will be sure to mention my appreciation to any patients of mine living in Troy hill, whether they participate or not, I am sure they know someone who does.
Stef, the Tour of California had really big attendance this year. Granted California is pretty much another country but still...
That's awesome.
The first time you see someone at a ride in a black & gold Borat thong, you will know we have arrived.
@rsprake/stefb: The US Pro Cycling Challenge in Colorado had a huge turnout as well. They had the top 3 from the Tour de France plus most of the top North American riders. The U.S. riders really went all out to put on a show. Great racing but not as well produced as the TDF. I hope it continues. I'd love to see more racing like this.
Danny Chew called me and told me that a woman
from Troy Hill had called him and asked what
she could do, if anything. So awesome.
