Vote for PGH over Bike Texas, influence your employer!

The Dero Dream Bike Room Contest : http://www.dero.com/dreambikeroom/vote.html I am thinking that the opportunity is to bring it here to a local business, then showcase it to other employers/agencies as what to aspire to. A few moments of your time could make the difference between more of the same here in Pgh, or just dreaming about what happens in other cities.

Entries must be submitted by April 1, 2014! I take it that there is a follow-up to this somewhere?

Wow, totally my bad. I get so many emails I miss the details. Thanks Stu. We can look forward to next year.

The bicycle, being a tool for exploration, may best be served by a room designed by Wonko the Sane Copious bonus points are to be awarded to anyone recognizing this particularly obscure reference. (Disclosure: I remembered the house but had to look up the character's name.)

Hey P-rob you're on the right track! The Green Building Alliance (who got their application in by April 1) was selected to be one of the finalists! You can vote here! http://www.dero.com/dreambikeroom/vote.html and YES! It would be AWESOME to have GBA be the winner and have that as an example to show off. Spread the word! (this is the first time Dero has done a contest like this, so they're still working out some of the kinks)

Ha, confusion! I must have posted the link that did not lead to the voting. I thought I screwed up after Stu's post. It turns out that it is hard to find the voting page from the link I originally posted. Please follow danny.yabs to vote for the Green Building Alliance. We gotta beat Texas! Although I do like me some Texas Toast and brisket know and then..

Just voted - GBA is trailing by quite a bit. We need to solicit more votes quickly if they're going to have a chance.

John Watson. And I *didn't* have to look it up. :P

The Green Building Alliance (here in Pittsburgh) is only 16 votes behind Bike Texas to win the Dero Dream Bike room contest! Please take a second to vote if you haven't already. Today is the last day to vote! http://www.dero.com/dreambikeroom/vote.html

Frankly, I don't begrudge them the win. TX needs all the help it can get. Outside of Austin and a couple other spots, they're worse off than Pgh was 20 years ago.

Actually I think Pittsburgh did great seeing how we were a much smaller scale group of voters - even if friends from out of the area voted. I don't begrudge them either. I assume they did statewide outreach to get those numbers - or at least networking a greater number of contacts. The idea of simply clicking a button to bring home such a cool concept was hard to let go of.
