West End Community Group - Bike Outreach?
Does anyone know anything about this? On my way home yesterday (when I already had something and couldn't stop), I saw this sign.
I took a picture this morning, but the quality is terrible.

What's really irritating is that I was actually IN the West End at around 7 pm on the 7th. I had someplace to go, something to do, but would have made an appearance had I known about it!

I stopped and checked out the sign. No info. Seems like if someone wanted to do this the message board would have been an outstanding place to publicize it.

I stuck my contact info on the back of the sign in case someone comes to retrieve it. Maybe that will do it? But not sure who or where else to ask.
Interwebs turns up an Elliot West End Community Group that is described as "defunct" in a news article from last year. I can't find anything else about this group, let alone this particular meeting.

Seems like if someone wanted to do this the message board would have been an outstanding place to publicize it.Unfortunately, there are still a great number of riders---not to mention community leaders who might organize such a meeting even if they are not themselves riders---who don't know about this messageboard...

I think what we do next is to go to the West End library and introduce ourselves to various librarians there. Particularly the one who handles scheduling. Librarians are all about knowing where to go for information, so making sure they know about us will in turn ensure that anyone who inquires about cycling will send them to us, or at least include us in the pool of available local resources.

It worked! It worked! Lynn, who organized the meeting, found my card on the back of the sign (which is very lucky since it was raining when I stuck it on there).
I'm now in touch with her via email and will pass along anything she shares with me.
