I have wide feet & find Keens comfortable. I have not tried their cycling shoes, though. They make at least 2 kinds for women.
wide size cycling shoes
I have pretty wide feet. I currently have some lake mountain bike shoes that work on clipless pedals. what i am looking for are the skate style shoes (i think that is what they are called)... shoes that look like normal/trail shoes but you can use them on clipless pedals. they must be wide size though. any suggestions?
I, too, have wide feet -- wide enough that I rarely wear medium width in regular shoes.
I've been riding in a pair of Keen shoes that I got three or four years ago. I don't think Keen makes them anymore but the last time I was in REI I saw a very similar shoe for biking. They tend to be pretty comfortable and warm for riding.
As for bike-specific brands, Shimano shoes tend to run wide.
I've had my eyes on these for a while:
