Oh yeah, they came into my work today and asked me about riding to work.
WTAE News
Did anyone see (or participate in) the piece on bike commuting on the 5:00 WTAE News? A bit vague but a positive piece on bike commuting.

Very nice. Go Erica!
that's how I debut a haircut.
WTG RF!
Do we know anyone else in the video? I know I've seen that yellow bike around, the one at the beginning of the video, but don't know whose it is.
That's local courier Greg Brunner, later shown in the video.
Kudos to Rich Fitzgerald for making this one of his first public appearances since taking office.
although, i think his statement about pgh's roads being installed just for cars is a bit historically inaccurate
I see stik riding away in one of the scenes
The stuff built since the 1920s, yeah, those were built for cars. But really the city was built for foot traffic and public transit. Hence all the staircases and little ethnic neighborhoods. People lived and worked in one neighborhood, or walked to the mills or took a trolley Dahntahn. And speaking of infrastructure, don't forget the 18 or so inclines that aren't there anymore.
Nice piece and sweet new haircut Erica!
I've had this shouted exchange with a motorist:
"This road was made for cars!"
"This road was made for horses!"
Of course, outside of the city, but still in the county? Those roads were built for cars. Sad. True.
