We just want to say thanks to everyone who showed up to the Kid’s Bike Build-A-Thon last night. We had a great turnout and fixed up just about thirty bikes for the Tree of Hope. It was a fun time and we got a chance to meet a bunch of new folks. A special thanks goes out to the PORC and PTAG folks for getting the word out and showing up.

But, that doesn’t mean we’re done. We still have another batch of bikes that we’d like to get ready as well, and are having another Kid’s Bike Build-a-Thon on Wed., November 29, 6-10pm at the shop…you can check the calendar as well.

One thing we learned after this one is that tools are a limiting factor, so there was a lot of sharing going on, so if you have your own, feel free to bring them.

Also, we’ll be delivering the bikes after Dec. 1 to a storage space in East Liberty. We’re in the process of securing a truck, and are looking for a backup in case that falls through. Please email freeride@bike-pgh.org if you could be available for this.
