We’re excited to announce the newest Membership Benefit. Card-carrying BikePGH Members will now receive a 10% discount off their tab at the Over the Bar Bicycle Cafe in the South Side.

This new, family friendly bar and restaurant located on Carson St near the Southside Works, has been open for a couple months, and has already become a meeting and event space for bike clubs and organizations.  Not only did thier black bean burgers get rave reviews from the Post-Gazette’s Munch, they even named a sandwich after us: The Bicycle Advocate.

Recently, owner Mike Kotyk stated on a KDKA news cast that he wants to replace the auto parking space in front of his cafe with bike racks, to accommodate more customers (1 car vs. 8-10 bikes).  He quips, “We’d love to be the first business in the city to have dedicated bike parking…I’ve told the mayor over email that if he gives us a bike space we’ll call it Cycle Stahl after him.“
