This wsj article caught my interest ‘Those who drive the furthest to work should bear the biggest responsibility for paying for roads.’ This makes a lot of sense but isn’t this exactly the way the gas tax works now? 49.6 cents per gallon and 31.2 is from the state and 18.4 federal. Isn’this what the money is used for? Fixing the roads?
