New Commuting Guide Now Available Online

Although we still haven’t had the official release of the printed version of the brand new Bike Commuting 101 Guide, it is now available online.  You can now view it using your browser, or download a pdf version.

We worked with local illustrator, Glen Johnson, to create a comic-book style booklet that is both informative and fun to read.  You are probably already familiar with Glen’s work, and the main character.  Glen illustrated the comic on the side of our Pittsburgh Bike Map, while the main character makes a reappearance, with some added realism, in the guide.

The guide, produced in partnership with the City of Pittsburgh, the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership, and the Sprout Fund, is an educational tool to help you, or a friend in need, learn some urban riding basics, laws, and practical advice for navigating the city.  Everything from what to wear to navigating intersections is covered.

So make sure to check it out, and pass it along to a friend!  Simply click the SHARE THIS icon at the top, and send it to Facebook, Twitter, or any other site.

-Be sure to stay tuned for the official release date for the print version.  We’re still working out a few details.
