Sign up for the June edition of Car Free Fridays at the following events and activities to receive the East Liberty discount voucher and enter the monthly raffle.

June 18 – 7:30 – 10:00am

Whole Foods Market, East Liberty – bicycle there and get breakfast!

  • Meet Pittsburgh Bike Czar Stephen Patchan

Fifth Avenue Place, Downtown – bicycle there and get breakfast!

  • Minor biker repairs provided by Chris from Thick Bikes
  • Green Gears Pedicab will provide complimentary rides from Port Authority’s Wood Street Station to anywhere in the Golden Triangle.

William Pitt Union, Fifth Avenue, Oakland – bicycle there and get breakfast!

This months raffle includes a monthly bus pass, a Zipcar membership with $75 driving credit, a BikePGH membership, and prizes and gift certificates from local businesses like Jamil’s and Capri pizza.

June 18 – 6:00 – 8:00pm – Bicycle tour of East Liberty hosted by East Liberty Development Inc. and Venture Outdoors. Meet at the Home Depot Parking lot. This tour will highlight many unique East Liberty assets that are easily missed in a car! To learn more and sign up for the ride contact Venture Outdoors or 412-255-0564 ext. 21.

June 18 – 6:00 – 8:00pm – Ladies’ Summer Solstice Road Ride hosted by Velomuse. Meet at Trek of Pittsburgh East Liberty/Shadyside location. Bring something, anything, for  a handmade craft swap. To learn more and sign up for the ride contact Eryn Hughes at eryn@velomuse.org

June 26 – 3:00 – 4:30pm – Car Free Walking Tour hosted by Pittsburgh History & Landmarks Foundation. Meet at East Liberty Presbyterian Church on Penn Avenue. The tour is limited to the first 25 people who RSVP by June 24. RSVP by calling (412) 471-5808 x527, or email marylu@phlf.org
