Section of the Eliza Furnace Trail Closing from Dec 27-31

A portion of the trail will be closed from Monday, December 27th at 7:00am through Friday, December 31st at 12:00 noon.

The City of Pittsburgh is removing a deteriorated walkway structure that crosses the Trail. The portion of the Trail being closed runs from the Swineburne Trail Head downstream several hundred yards ending before the Hot Metal Bridge.

You will be able to access the trail at the Hot Metal Bridge or Bates St and continue into downtown
