What will Pittsburgh have in July that NYC doesn’t? 100% of our buses will have bike racks!

• Long Beach, Ca finally eliminated their bike registration law.  Even after administering 1,000 tickets last year, the cost to administer the bicycle license program greatly exceeded its revenue
• Whew, Pittsburgh remained in the top 50 cycling cities, according to Bicycling Magazine at #28
• Local blog, PGH is a City, outlines all the great biking projects, plans and proposals launched last week that involve the word “Allegheny”
• A new University of Pittburgh study shows how walking can keep your mind healthy.  The study showed that the cognitively impaired needed to walk five miles a week to slow brain atrophy and cut memory loss symptoms by half.
• Infrastructurist reads the writing on the wall: Gas prices are only going up
• While Secretary of Transportation, LaHood lashes out at High Speed Rail detractors
