Pittsburgh Trails Advocacy Group Steward Orientation Day
The Pittsburgh Trails Advocacy Group (PTAG) is looking to expand their trail stewardship program. Each year, PTAG’s volunteers maintain miles and miles of trails in 14 parks throughout the Pittsburgh Region. Volunteers keep single-track, shared-use trails open, sustainable and fun.
In each park, a volunteer PTAG Park Steward organizes Trail Workdays, relying on volunteer labor to maintain and improve the experience of the trails.
If you are currently, have been in the past or want to step up to the role of PTAG trail stewardship, please join PTAG at North Park on Sunday, March 27, 2011.
If you are a complete newbie to trail building and PTAG steward role, please attend at 10:30 as there will be a tutorial on the basics of IMBA trail work, trail work coordination and the local trail scene.
Stewards returning to the fold, or looking to expand their involvement should plan to attend after 11am. There will be lunch (thanks Mad Mex and Allegro Hearth Bakery) around 1:30 followed by a bike ride.
