PNC YMCA to Host Lunch Time Bike Commuting Forum

Learn tips and tricks for a safe, fun bike commute . . .

In anticipation of Car Free Fridays and Bike to Work Day on May 20th, BikePGH will lead a Bike Commuting Forum to answer question about bike commuting and share some valuable lessons. This year’s Bike to Work Day is expected to be the biggest yet in Pittsburgh.

Anyone who already bike commutes or wants to start is encouraged to join us. It’s an excellent opportunity to share with each other our collective experience of co-existing on the roads.

Downtown businesses are encouraged to invite their employees to the event. Be sure to permit a generous lunch hour so attendees can get the most out of it. A city’s bike friendliness is a key factor of its livability. The more bicyclist on the road, the safer it is for everyone!

Open to the public and free!

Where: PNC YMCA (Market Square) Community Room

When: Wednesday May 11, 12pm to 1pm

. . .  Also a Commuting 101 guided tour on May 14th

Your Active City is new company offering fully escorted, guided tours around Pittsburgh. In conjunction with Bike to Work Day they are leading a FREE class to learn the basics about safely biking to work. Class size will be limited. To participate in the ride you must register in advance. www.youractivecity.com or call 412-303-0566.
