Free Ride is hiring for Youth Program Instructors for the 2011 summer season!

Free Ride teaches Youth Earn-a-Bike and bicycle maintenance classes to local youth organizations in the Pittsburgh area.  The classes range from 1 full day service project, to a week long daily class, to a series class over a period of weeks or months!  We are currently hiring and training instructors as well as working on creating summer programs with several local organizations!

$15/hr instructing time, Part time

Working with youth

WHAT YOU NEED to HAVE:

  • Experience with bicycle maintenance
  • Some summer availability
  • Enthusiasm!
  • (experience with YOUTH is GREAT!)

WHAT YOU NEED to DO:

  • Contact Andrea Chiotti, drazzy7@yahoo.com with subject ‘Youth Instructor’ and say YOU want to know more!
  • Mandatory Youth Instructor Orientation FRIDAY MAY 7th @ 6:30pm OR SATURDAY @ 10am at Free Ride
  • 12 hours of shadowing a current Youth Instructor
  • GET clearances: Child Abuse, FBI, Criminal Background (EASY to get, and FR reimburses!)
  • Become a FR Collective Council Member (14hrs of volunteer time, 2 meetings)
