Get your gears turning to submit a BikeFest Event!

Hi Everyone!

As spring sprouts into summer Pittsburgh is pollinated by sunshine and smiles as bikers all over begin to bloom into their full pedaling potential. Now that winters hibernation has ended its time to take part in all the planning and pre-mature excitement of BikeFest which will take place from August 12th through the 21st all around Pittsburgh. The festivities begin with the beloved bash known as the annual BikeFest Kick-Off Party so roll up those shirtsleeves, push up that pant leg, and get excited for everyone to dress up, drink up and mingle amongst other members.

This year’s schedule includes all the classic BikeFest events everyone knows and loves along with some newfangled forms for everyone to congregate share in the beauty of bikes and all the pedal powered people who ride them.  But, since BikeFest is a long list of ever evolving events that is created for and by you, we would love any and all innovative ideas that you have for furthering that fun feeling that’s at the heart of both BikeFest and BikePGH. The success of such a fantastic festival depends on devoted bikers such as yourself so whether you want to create an art show, an organized ride or something more spontaneous but still bike related, we would love to hear what you have to say so that collectively we can build upon and better an already amazing schedule of events. Be sure to check out previous BikeFest calendars for some helpful ideas.  There is always a need for volunteers too, so if you’d like to volunteer, just let us know how you would like to help so we can all have a hand in making BikeFest bigger and better each and every year.
