PTAG’s Annual event to spread their love and knowledge of local trails
Pittsburgh Trails Advocacy Group (PTAG) and Pittsburgh Off Road Cyclists (PORC) present:
The 6th Annual Mountain Bike Festival
Friday, July 15 to Sunday, July 17
Pittsburgh Trails Advocacy Group (PTAG) has accomplished a lot in the past year. With the approval from local land managers, a new downhill trail and skills park has been built in North Park near the Pie Traynor baseball field. PTAG members have also spent close to 2000 hours maintaining, re-routing and building trails that everyone can enjoy throughout the year.
The goal of the festival is to get more people interested in helping us work on the trails and riding their mountain bikes. PTAG helps build and maintain local hiking and biking trails. Pittsburgh Off Road Cyclists (PORC) is one of many MTB groups that offers riders a great chance to experience some of the world’s most plentiful MTB trails. They are always looking for new volunteers to help. It’s a great way to give back to the enjoyment of others, while getting a little exercise.
Riders should bring a helmet and water. Ride levels are advanced beginner and above. Depending on your level, we will ride 1-3 hours. If you run out of energy, someone can help direct you back to your car. Rides will start about ½ hour after the meeting times.
The Schedule
