PG: Cyclists banding together

A bit of media coverage for the Bikepool Extravaganza, Friday July 22

BikePGH is pulling out the stops for this week’s “Car Free Friday” — a plea for cyclists and others who want to ride safely in a group to participate in “Bikepool Extravaganza.”

The organization, which is based in Larryville, has gathered some ride leaders for the one-day event.  The goal is to promote people riding together and to increase cyclists’ presence on the streets. BikePGH also wants to bring more attention to the bikepool matching service offered by CommuteInfo.

For Friday’s ride, there are more than 20 meet-up locations.
