The winning team gets sweet clout and tons of raffle prizes for racers at the end. Ages 21+, rain or shine, helmets are strongly suggested but not mandatory. If you don’t want to race, meet at Garfield Art Works (Penn Ave at Gross St) and celebrate summer and bikefest with wine, beer, Spak bros Pizza, music, and good times. Bring on the Apocalypse: Zombies on Bikes Ride / Fri, August 19, 7:30pm – 9:30pm

In front of the Allegheny Cemetery, Entrance at Penn Ave & Edmond St

What do bikers and zombies have in common? They fill the streets and lure you into becoming one of them! Everyone talks about the Zombie Apocalypse. So lets bring it!Dress in your goriest, goo-iest and gross-est zombie gear. Get on your bike, and lets take over! We’ll bring the boom-box with creepy tunes, and a sweet treat for all those who attend so our flesh-eating tendencies will not interrupt our ride.

We will start at the cemetery, at the Penn Avenue entrance across from Edmund Street and ride through Bloomfield, Oakland, South Side, Downtown, and then make our way back up Liberty to cut through Polish Hill, and make our way back to the cemetery. The ride pace will be slow-ish- akin to a slow commuter pace, allowing us to show off our zombie attire to cars and people along the way. We’ll have safety bikers on the beginning and end of the crowd and throughout to keep everyone together. The ride will end at the cemetery entrance where it began to plan our next zombie attack! Perhaps a bar, perhaps others.

Ride is open to all ages all levels of biking experience. Tentative end of ride is roughly 8:30 – 9pm. DRESS CREEPY! Zombies ride rain or shine
